We would like to acknowledge the traditional territories of the Snuneymuxw First Nation and the Cowichan Tribes, on whose unceded lands our cider apple orchard is located. We recognize the ongoing impact of colonialism on Indigenous communities and the ongoing struggles for recognition, sovereignty, and self-determination.

However, we also recognize the limitations of land acknowledgements as a performative act, and understand that acknowledging the land does not equate to meaningful action or reparations. We commit to actively working towards decolonization and reconciliation through ongoing education and action.
